Admission to Diploma in teacher Education course will be made as per the NCTE norms and Tamil Nadu, Government rules regarding educational qualifications, age limit, distribution of seats for boys and girls and reservation policy in vogue.
- 50% Admission will be done by means of single window system by the Director,
DTERT the admission committee constituted by the Government of Tamil Nadu
every year barring the management quota seats in each private TTI.
- 50% admission in Management quota seats shall be filled up by the management
themselves on single window system, by calling for applications.
- Applications will be called for from eligible applicants through advertisement in newspapers. The admission committee will scrutinize of applications and prepare merit list based on the marks obtained in +2. Examination and on the basis of different categories of candidates such as boys, girls, subject groups (Science, Arts, Vocations) Communal rotation and special category quota notified by Government every year.
SUBJECT WISE ALLOCATION :
- Science group 50% seats
- Arts Group 25% Seats
- Vocational Group 25% seats
The seats earmarked for single window system are filled up by the following the rule of reservation as follows :
- Open Competition 31%
- Backward classes 30%
- Most backward classes 20%
- Scheduled Caste 18%
- Scheduled Tribes 1%
