![]() The Teacher Education Curriculum should aim at the preparation of professionally competent and committed teachers. A Diploma in Teacher Education student should have a practical knowledge of academic subjects, school based internship, school – community, continuous, comprehensive and competency based evaluation, development of skills necessary for transactional strategies and development of innovative thinking and practices in classroom instruction. ACADEMIC COUNSELING : Counseling is an integral part of the course. Academic counseling starts with the beginning of the academic year when the students seek guidance in choosing their appropriate methodology of teaching. A counseling cell is functioning in the campus. The counseling in the campus. The counseling committee attends to the emotional and psychological needs of the trainees. PERSONALITY : The institution gives much importance to the all-round development of the personality of each student. The programmes organized by the institution are listed below. Physical and health related exercises are practiced by the students every day in the evening session under the supervision of the physical director. Physical Education is included in the syllabi and in the daily time table. Further, physical and health education is opted as an elective paper in our institution.
