About Students

Ours is a professional college. Every year the college admits 100 B.Ed. , 50 M.Ed. and 12 M.Phil students. Our pass percentage has been very high for many years. There is a great demand for teachers educated in N.V.K.S.D. College of Education. Even Schools from far off places approach us for campus recruitment and majority of student teachers get employed even before they leave the campus.

Through the recruitments of TRB (Teachers Recruitment Board) many of our students got selected for the posts of teachers in government schools. Our students are well placed not only in India but also abroad. Many of them have secured jobs in Maldives, USA, UK and Middle East .

Though the number of seats are limited for Masters degree in Education, certain percentage of our students make it to the post graduation. A few of them secure admission into post graduate courses in other disciplines also.

Academic Counselling:

Counselling is an integral part of the course. Academic counselling starts with the beginning of the academic year when the students seek guidance in choosing their appropriate methodology of teaching. They are also guided in their selection of electives.

A counselling cell is functioning in the college. The counseling committee attends to the emotional and psychological needs of the student teachers .

Placement Services:

The college has a placement cell consisting of the principal and staff members to assist in providing teachers to various schools. The letters are displayed on the notice board. Every year teachers are recruited through campus interview . The principal of the school either through letters or over the phone request for teachers.
